Alessandra Forlano
About
Alessandra was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She moved to the United States in 2016 after completing two and a half years of a Dental Medicine degree in her country. She received her undergraduate B.S in Biological Sciences from Nova Southeastern University in 2019. During her time in college, Alessandra was an active board member of NSU’s Pre-Dental Society in charge of the organization’s Public Relations. Additionally, Alessandra received an honor recognition from TriBeta Biological Honor Society and was recipient of the Dean’s List Scholarship. In her spare time, she shadowed a couple of dentists.
Alessandra is currently a second-year dental medicine student at Nova Southeastern University. She is now the Chair of Communications of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and has collaborated with the university’s Missions Club and Give Kids a Smile Day. Alessandra is also participating on the Inter-Professional Diabetes Education and Awareness (IDEA) program at NSU, addressing the needs of diabetes management and prevention in Broward County.
