About
"Anahita Sehgal is a fourth year medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania, USA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with B.S in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics and a minor in Society and Genetics. At UCLA, Anahita was involved in research with the Department of Radiation Oncology, specifically focusing on the radiation resistance seen in pancreatic cancer. She was an avid member of Project SPELL, a student group that worked with the housekeeping staff at UCLA to help improve their conversational and written proficiency in English.
Outside of medical school, Anahita volunteers weekly as a resource advocate at a shelter for men experiencing homelessness and is a Student Admissions Program Director for her medical school’s interview day for applicants. Her research interests are in ophthalmology and oncology.
