Catherine is an incoming ophthalmology resident at Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is Canadian and grew up in Vancouver, BC. She received her undergraduate B.S in Microbial Biology from U.C. Berkeley. Following her undergraduate degree, Catherine attended Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she received her Master of Science in Law degree and gained a passion for the interdisciplinary aspect of medicine. She then worked in the Bay Area at Medtronic in their Coronary and Structural Heart Disease Management division. She then started medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where Catherine was involved Clinician Executive Medicine Program and was involved in the establishment of a Chicago-wide medical-legal partnership clinic.
