Daniel is a first year pulmonary and critical care fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz/National Jewish Health. He is originally from the Dominican Republic and grew up in Mexico. He moved to the United Stated for college in 2008 when he attended Andrews University in Michigan. He then moved to Chicago for medical school at Northwestern University. During his time at Northwestern, he became involved in organizations such as LMSA and SNMA. He stayed in Chicago to do internal medicine residency, and a chief resident year while obtaining a Masters of Public Health at George Washington University. He is interested in pulmonary hypertension and vascular biology. Given his lived experiences, he is very interested in equity in medical education and patient care as well as social justice.
