First generation doctor born and raised in China. Grace received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was a head tutor for Undergraduate Learning Center through the College of Engineering. She was a cellist for the Medical Symphony Orchestra and the Music Medicine Program. She also did research encompassing many disciplines including microbial biofuel development, breast cancer model, and fungal pathogenesis. She is co-author on a few original research articles and review articles.
