Kerry Lee
About
Kerry is a current second-year medical student at the Virginia Commonwealth University. He spent most of his pre-college life in Asia, attending international schools in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Taipei, which shaped his identity as a Third Culture Kid. As an undergrad at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, he pursued a B.S. in Economics, with a minor in Computer Science. He made the decision to pursue a 180 degree career change from finance pre-med in the middle of sophomore year, but continued to pursue both his business and medical interests through internships, club leadership, community service, and research. For his gap year, he pursued a one-year Master's in Human Nutrition through the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Institute of Human Nutrition, where he served on student government and did his thesis on Episodic Future Thinking in patients with Anorexia Nervosa. Outside of school, Kerry is a die-hard Los Angeles Lakers and Michigan Wolverines fan, and enjoys playing badminton.
