Macri is a student at Geisel SOM at Dartmouth. She is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. She moved to the US for college in 2016 and studied neuroscience at the University of Rochester. She took a gap year to work as a lab manager in Neuroscience, and as a patient care technician during COVID-19 in Rochester, NY. During her time at Dartmouth, she has been an active member of LMSA and served as president of her chapter during her MS2 year. She spearheaded the creation of the Medical Spanish Pathway of Distinction at Dartmouth. She participated in the foundation of the Geisel International Medical Student Association and continues to be an active member. She is applying to General Surgery for the 2024-2025 cycle. Her interests reside in Pediatric Surgery, Surgical Oncology, health systems research, health equity work, migrant health, and improving access to language concordant care, particularly in Spanish.
