Michael is medical student at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Michael arrived in the U.S. in the Spring of 2018 and began his undergraduate studies at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. He was heavily involved in several extra-curricular activities including presiding over the local African Students Association chapter, membership with the school’s diversity council, among several activities. Michael also had a passion for teaching and served as an academic tutor and a Teaching Assistant for different courses through most of his undergrad career. His passion for research led him to the Medical University of South Carolina for a summer research internship which led him to pursue research in depth after graduating. Post-graduation, Michael worked in a Gastrointestinal lab that studied the rare congenital diarrheal disease called Microvillus Inclusion Disease. There he spearheaded different projects further bolstering his passion for Medicine and Research. Concurrently, he also volunteered at the Vanderbilt Hospital as an inpatient visitor, bringing comfort to patients who needed company.
