Preethi Chidambaram
About
Preethi is a first-generation immigrant from India currently working as an OB/Gyn resident at Case Western Reserve University. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2021. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and attended Ohio State for undergrad, where she pursued a degree in biomedical engineering. In undergrad, Preethi was awarded the Eminence Fellowship. She led an organization focusing on social determinants of health called ENCompass, was active with the university Dance Marathon, and was a part of Sphinx Senior Honorary. She was also crowned Ohio State's 2016 Homecoming Queen. Her undergraduate thesis focused on corneal biomechanics, and she worked with the Boston Keratoprosthesis team during undergrad as well. During medical school, she completed the NIDDK Summer Student Research program at the Joslin Diabetes Center, working in diabetic retinopathy. In medical school, she was heavily involved with the Student Council and the Admissions Committee and led the LCME Independent Student Analysis. She also worked on research in maternal-fetal medicine.
