Renato Yupari
About
Renato is a Peruvian ophthalmology resident at UH/CWRU. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in 2021. He received his undergraduate B.S in Microbiology from Texas A&M University. During his time at college he was the president and founder of the Latin American Student Association and an officer of the International Student Association. He was also part of a research lab that studied the role and assembly of Nuclear Pore Complexes. During medical school he got involved in multiple ophthalmology related projects including choroidal melanoma studies and contact lens policy. He was also involved in the Free Vision Clinic where he helped provide basic eye exams for free to patients from Cleveland. He is currently an ophthalmology resident at University Hospitals interested in cataract surgeries and anterior segment disease. He plans to practice in a place where he can deliver care to a spanish-speaking population.
