Rithika is a 2nd year MD student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She was born in India and moved to the United States when she was 13. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she studied Biochemistry and Public Health. During undergrad and her gap years, Rithika worked in public health research focusing on improving access to treatment for opioid use disorder. She is passionate about better understanding and addressing issues of healthcare access and equity . Rithika also has worked in the Emergency Department as a Tech in her gap year. Her hobbies include reading historical fiction, running, crocheting, and cooking.
