Yifan is a MD-PhD student at Baylor College of Medicine. He grew up in Nanjing, China and came to the US for college at age 18. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology in 2020. After college, he worked at Duke University as a research technician, studying cardiac regeneration and tissue engineering. In 2022, he joined Baylor College of Medicine MSTP program. He is currently a second-year medical student and will begin his PhD training next summer.
